Advanced Tools	Allows you to Move, Rotate, Resize, and Mirror items. Note that you can rotate, resize, and mirror around a point that you select.
Basic Tools	Erase, Add Point, Pull Line or Curves Apart, Bezier Control Points, and Simple Mover.
Default Settings	Most default settings can be changed. For example, if you don't like the default color Embroidery Draw uses, go ahead and change it.
Doilies and Free Standing Lace	New for version 2, you can create doilies and free standing lace templates.
Drawing Calibration	New for version 2, you can calibrate the drawing area so that 100% zoom is a 1 to 1 representation of the drawing on the screen and the size it will be drawn out if exporting as PEM file.
Drawing Tools	Draw squares, circles, lines, beziers, curves.
Exporting	Designs can be exported as PEM format for the PE-Design software, or as a Windows Bitmap (BMP), JPG, or EMF.
PEM Exporting (For PE-Design Brother Software)	When saving it as a PEM format it will retain the size measurements used in Embroidery Draw, for example when drawing in Embroidery Draw a 5mm by 5mm box it will show up as a 5mm by 5mm box in PE-Design. New for version 2, when exporting as PEM you can specify the distance each point is placed on a curve. For example: The next screen shot shows a sampling rate of 1 mm. The next screen shot shows a sampling rate of 2 mm. Notice the difference when converting the curve from Embroidery Draw into Brother PE-Design software.
Grid	The grid can be changed to different sizes and different colors.
Image Control	Load multiple images, images can be transparent, images can be moved, resized, rotated, images can have their brightness changed, and images can be centered in the design. New to version 2, images can be loaded in as a default size, an image panel contains the details about the image, and images can be moved on the z-depth.
Inches or Millimeters	Work in inches or millimeters.
Layers	Allows you to draw in unlimited number of layers. You can merge layers, delete layers, change layer colors, save individual layers as JPG, BMP, PEM, EMF, RXML, etc..
Patterns	If you have a design that you finished and need to re-use it again and again, you can then save it as pattern and re-use it easily in the program.
